Parassinikkadavu Snake Park houses 31 animal species and
inspires visitors of all ages to enjoy a passion for wildlife and conservation.
If a tourist comes here, this place takes a whole day. This is a good place for

'Visha Chikitsa Kendra' Pappinisseri intended for the treatment of Snakebites.
In 1964, the treatment centre for Pappinisseri Snake Bite
was founded. Ayurvedic, allopathic and traditional practises combined, this is
a centre for treating patients with snakes bite. It was very common for people
who brought snake dick victims to carry snakes also, as in many cases they were
alive, killed or harmed. The treatment of snakes such as Vipers, Cobras and
Kraits played important roles, since snakebite therapies varied. After the
snake is identified and symptoms match with the particular type of snake, it
was easy for the doctors to treat them immediately. Inspired by Sri were the

up Snake Park in Chennai and Crocodile Park. The most important motivation for

reptiles, birds, and crocodiles.

many others here. Both foreign and domestic tourists visit it regularly. For
various species, it is a haven, whether venomous or non-venomous. It's a small,
well-preserved zoo with good replenishments, etc. It's a park designed to

present. The park hosts a show where trained experts play and interact with a
range of snakes.
Parassinikkadavu Snake Park is 16 km from Kannur Town of
Kerala State in the south of India, and it is devoted to preserving and

More than 100 snakes and other animals are present in the
park, including Cobra Spectacled, Cobra King, Vipers of Russell, Krati, and

wildlife such as the endangered Lion-tailed Macaque, reptiles, birds, and
crocodiles.
There are live shows in the park in which trained

variety of snakes. The show aims to remove legendary fears about snakes and
superstitions. The snake park has three serpentine pits, fifteen snakes and
King Cobras two big glasshouses. A King Cobra breeding centre is also present
as part of the research and conservation initiatives in the park.
Treatment Center for the Snake Bite Park
The Snake Park is a subsidiary unit of the Society
Pappinisseri Vishachikitsa, from which different snake bites can be treated. In
1964 the centre in Pappiniseseri, Kannur was set up to focus on people with
snake morsels. It is one of the eight branches of Ayurveda Medicine that works
with toxicology because of food intoxicación, snakebites, dog bites, insect
pits and more. It also acts as the leader in Advanced Clinical Research,
Literacy in Agada Tantra. It has had a monopoly on snakebite cases in the state
since its inception in 1964.

How to get to Snake Park in Parassinikkadavu
The park, where the closest main railway station is, is
about 16 km from the town of Kannur. It is also close to Mangalore's national
highway. From Kannur and the nearby Taliparamba, there are frequent buses (8
km). You can take a taxi/rickshaw to the park at Dharmasala on the Mangalore-Trivandshaw
highway. Snake Park is located in southern India's Kannur District of Kerala
