OPTVLOGS discovered this spot while passing through Chingoli, Karthikappally. What looked like a simple shop turned into one of the tastiest surprises on our Kerala food hunt. Fresh, crispy broasted chicken with juicy flavour inside — the kind of honest street food that Kerala is known for.
What We Found at Herfi's Broasted Chicken
The shop sits right near NTPC Junction, Chingoli — a busy crosspoint on the Haripad–Kayamkulam stretch. No fancy board, no elaborate setup. Just a clean counter, fresh chicken going into hot oil, and a small crowd of regulars who clearly know what they are doing here.
The broasted chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside — exactly the combination you want. Not greasy, not dry. Served simply with a side of sauce and fresh chapathi, it made for a perfect evening snack stop on the road.
